Katie Mackey, representing the Brooks Beasts Track Club, won the women's 1,500 meters in 4:05.97 at the Brooks PR Invitational at University of Washington's Husky Outdoor Track in Seattle, Wash. In addition to achieving the IAAF World Championships standard, Mackey also reflected on the recent passing of Brooks athlete Gabe Grunewald and what it meant to honor her by wearing #BraveLikeGabe on her running kit during the race.
